"And so these stairs shall now seem short to me..." - 3rd March 2007

Thanks to all for your messages, contributions, words of wisdom, or expressions of incredulity....tomorrow is the BIG day.  I have been slotted into Battalion 31 at 1500 hours  (that's 3p.m PST).  I will be leaving PT at 5am so it will be a long, fun day.  I'll let you know how I did when I get back.  NPR had an interview yesterday (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=7692189) with a fire-fighter who runs these stairs in 11 minutes, I am prepared t meet amazing people and have a slow trudge to the top, enjoy the view, take some pictures and go have dinner with friends afterwards.     IF there is wireless I will try to upload pictures to my live journal site throughout the day:  http://andeejfr.livejournal.com/
